As a Senior Advisor of the Taplow Group Manuel is supporting European companies in Asia and Asian companies doing business in Europe – in close collaboration with his local Taplow colleagues.
Manuel, born to an Indian mother and a German father, studied Sinology (classic and modern) in Heidelberg, Germany and Shanghai, PR China. He worked as an interpreter for the German government (Head of State, chancellor etc.) and in 1988 co-founded the East Asia Institute at the University of Applied Sciences, Ludwigshafen (Germany), where he has been teaching Business Chinese and Asia-related topics ever since.
He started his own consultancy company offering services in the field of HR Asia, Leadership trainings and Intercultural workshops. Today he is supporting European companies in Asia and vice versa Asian companies in Europe – focusing on Leadership, Executive Search and Coaching, Intercultural Exchange and Strategic Consulting.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Manuel has more than 30 years of experience in Asia Consulting with special focus on China and India. He speaks fluent Chinese besides European languages and gives Key Note speeches and lectures all over Europe and Asia. In 2015, he started writing crime novels, based in Asia, and has published 3 of them as of 2019, about Tibet, China and India.
